The Main Inn front porch - what a wonderful spot for relaxing with good book,
a cup of tea and a friendly kitty cat.
Bistro...ready for breakfast and conversation......!!

I'ts still sailing time on the Bay, warming up and calmer winds.
In progress....Palacios Prairie Wetlands, a multi-use Nature Center is coming to life!

Top left - Our favorite Birthday Girls, being serenaded by the Captain himself.  RIP.

Next to them, more guests...this time reciting from "HMS Pinafore!"

Just one more picker... and one more beautiful breakfast song.  Nick's guitar has been with him longer than his nine wives, and he sometimes shares her with fellow musicians.  Better yet, bring your own instrument and we'll have twice the sound.

Friday evenings on the Bistro are enhanced with a little red wine.  Look for us to be strumming and singing between 5 and 6 pm.  A great way to start a laid back Palacios weekend!

Nick recorded many of his original songs on his CD -

"China Spring - So far from the Sea," available at the Inn.  Also, in the book Sea Stories and Fairy Tales you'll find more of his poetry and prose.

This is the Schooner Room in the Main house.  Queen bed, private bath and private entrance.  And, close to the kitchen and bistro, so you won't miss a thing!

"Well, we're just hangin' out, waiting for supper.  That's Peach, in camouflage grey, Cinco with the white socks, and Zaba, named for a favorite mountain village in Mexico.  Who says that guitar is more of survivor than tres gatos?  Come see for yourself!  We're as friendly as you want us to be, but we take rejection well."

Greenhouse porch, or the olde potting shed, is a great spot for morning coffee or evening wine.

The Pecan Suite...a delightful blend of old and very new.  Sleeping alcove with queen bed and wall of book shelves, fully equipped kitchen, and tiled walk-in shower provide a cozy getaway.  View from your deck includes vegetable garden and water feature.
